Should I remove a tree close to House?

Though they add beauty to any property, trees can present a hazard to your home. Those that overhang roofs or are close to a house may require removal or trimming. Ideally, large trees should be at least 20 feet from a structure.

Is it cheaper to cut down trees in the winter?

Yes! Removing a tree in late winter or early spring—especially February or March—is an economical choice. During this time, trees are dormant, devoid of the foliage that would otherwise slow down a tree removal service.

What happens to roots when a tree is cut down?

Though a tree can grow back from its roots after removal, it is largely dependent on the species of tree. Roots, if not completely removed, can continue to grow, but this takes a long time—many years—and may not actually happen. The likelihood of regrowth can be significantly reduced by thoroughly grinding the stump, and eliminated by removing the stump completely.

Can a tree mess up the foundation of a house?

Trees have complex, oftentimes large root systems, which can damage the foundation of a house. Roots are natural opportunists, preferring to grow along the path of least resistance, such as through mulch and soil with high friability—the crumbly, easily penetrated soil that most plants love.
